Thirty three years ago, CEO Sheldon Malchicoff established a high-tech parts and repair service company called Data Exchange Corporation (DEX). The company is made up of some of the brightest minds in technology making some of the most innovative strives in manufacturing, repair & reverse engineering of high-tech electronic and electromechanical products of our time.
Founded on a vision that high-tech electronic repair could be accomplished far more rapidly and with amplified efficiency once a repeatable process and procedures were instituted, DEX was conceived. The timeline below will take you on a journey back in time from present day to inception.
New Buy to Repair Program provides DEX customers with significant service parts cost reductions. Millions in savings passed on to top tier medical, renewable and IT manufacturers.
End of Life Manufacturing Program is established adding an additional layer to DEX service offerings. EOL manufacturing provides DEX customers with the flexibility to overcome the single source supplier model.
DEX has strategically expanded into Brazil adding yet another location to better serve our customers worldwide.
DHL partnership established, further expanding technical services and logistics solutions
Renewable Solutions division established servicing all electrical and electromechanical components in wind turbines
Social sustainability initiative established - DEX internship program starts
DEX Systems, the technology arm of the DEX,released DEX Systems Software for commercial purchase. The software provides solutions & business processes that manage, simplify and control the after sales supply chain
BidVantage redesigned and reintroduced as SupplyItNow, a more robust interface and procurement options were released in the update
Purchasing operations expanded into Shanghai, China
210,000 sq. ft. facility opens in Columbus Ohio
Healthcare Solutions division established servicing all electrical and electromechanical components in medical equipment
BidVantage was released as a web-based procurement solution
Advanced technology implemented further optimizing reverse logistics
OrderVision©, an online order entry and tracking system is designed and deployed to better serve DEX's customers
Developed reverse logistics models to support high-volume consumer electronics
Integrates plant automation and installs Oracle ERP System. Combines reverse logistics and financial management into a single ERP
Expands operations into Europe and sets roots in Dublin, Ireland as the hub of European locations
