Position Objective: On site position based in Camarillo, CA which involves assuming the responsibilities between customer and internal staff (engineering, Quality, manufacturing, operations and purchasing) on managing new and existing business starting from the implementation stage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define new account requirements directly with customer, coordinate on-time project implementations between customer and DEX internal departments, manage customer relationships and support existing run-rate.
  • Manage and coordinate with other DEX activities when necessary to close opportunities, make recommendations to help save cost and increase profitability.
  • Work closely with customer on productivity projects, provide technical and professional coordination in project activities. Organizing resources and establishing priorities, develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures.
  • Prepares clear, concise and informative reports, correspondence and other written materials.
  • Develop and present effective presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Prepared proposals on products ensuring that there are accurate and technically verified.
  • Coordinate on-time project implementations between customer and DEX internal departments.
  • Manage and coordinate with other DEX activities when necessary to close opportunities.
  • Make recommendations to help save cost and increase profitability.
  • Work closely with customer on productivity projects.
  • Provide technical and professional coordination in project activities.

Requirements:

Education: BS/BA degree

Experience: Five years experience within or related to the program management functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Skills: Strong analytical business skills to gather, analyze and understand business metrics if key. Must be able to form collaborative working relations hips and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and PC skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Job Summary:

Oversees the broad activities related to material planning and inventory management including the procurement of materials, parts, components and equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Procurement of all outside materials and services necessary to support production and company operations, management of the system, and physical maintenance, fiscal control and movement of all inventory in-house and between two separate facilities.

*Provide development and maintenance of inventory control systems to track status of purchase orders, inventory levels and production requirements.

*Reviews and approves purchases; as well as works with suppliers to negotiate contracts, including supplier selection and price negotiations.

*Develop strategic and tactical supply plans; contingency plans for elected suppliers, and continuous improvement plans.

*Ensure purchases of important items and replacement units for defective products, requiring some specialized knowledge and experience with electronics or test equipment, manufacturing and packaging processes for computers and computer peripherals or related industry.

*Responsible for purchase of stock inventory as well as provide procurement support for any backordered product.

*Report any accidents or injuries immediately at time of occurrence to an HR representative.

*Maintain a clean and safe work area.

*Work jointly with quality as per the supplier qualifications/disqualification processes.

*Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree with CPIM or APICS certified.

Experience: Five-ten years experience in a materials and purchasing capacity of electronic/mechanical components or commodities, including supervision of exempt and non-exempt employees.

Skills: Extensive contract negotiating skills preferably with packaging materials. Demonstrated leadership and writing skills. Must be able to maintain corporate gross profit margin on all purchases unless otherwise authorized. Prefer high volume buying experience with short lead-time and flexibility to meet customer satisfaction in fast-paced environment.
