At the Reverse Logistics Association Conference and Expo in Las Vegas Nevada, David Mowat, Senior Manager at Cisco and Dennis Cain, Vice President at DEX gave a joint case study presentation outlining how DEX Systems software solved critical issues for Cisco.Highly attended, this case study presentation outlined the challenges Cisco faced integrating a recent acquisition (Scientific Atlanta) which required support for same unit repair and return (RTSU) which was not supported under their current system. To provide the necessary support, additional customization would have been required of Cisco’s current repair software which was in direct contrast of their drive to reduce customizations in software. Cisco chose the DEX software solution in part to reduce complexity of future upgrades, integrations and maintenance by removing customizations in repair and to reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) by reducing the duplicity of application, maintenance and support within SAP. Because DEX reverse logistics repair software provides Oracle based application suites it provides a simple “plug and play” solution that works like any other module in Cisco’s ERP. Mowat felt that as the only Oracle BPO provider in reverse logistics that DEX was “setting industry standards” for reverse logistics software. To download a copy of the presentation, click here. |
